Rock-’n’-Roll Daze

A wise old owl once said that “California knows how to party,” and he wasn’t lying. A few friends live in LA, and I’ve visited in recent years; each trip feels like a rock‑’n’-roll whirlwind. There’s a lot to experience, a lot to consume. Remember to take your Advil.

One of my favorite games is spotting cats in windows. Alas, none appeared this particular afternoon. I did, however, find this hotel guest — leg kicked up, phone to his ear, making deals like it’s a sport. And I found myself wondering if he, too, was recovering from a rock‑’n’-roll night.
