Windy City, Winding Staircase, Blog launch Part 3

I love that nervous-excited jolt you get when you peek over a ledge - that little swirl in your stomach that says go on, do it. Museums know exactly how to bait that feeling, and Chicago’s staircases are basically architectural dares.

Whenever I’m back in Chicago - as I was this March - I remember how absurdly easy it is to fall for this city all over again. The ‘90s Bulls swagger, the Sears Tower looming like it owns the skyline, entire city blocks smelling like Garrett’s popcorn, hot dogs with rules, and a river that slices right through downtown…Chicago knows what it’s doing.
